Homebrew event: iBrew Challenge

Back for yet another year of homebrewer showboating and fun camaraderie over beers made in home kitchens across the city, the iBrew Challenge is back again on 30 August, 2-7pm. This year, it pitches tent again at the grass field just outside the homebrew store and Meng Chao’s bottle shop, Brewers’ Craft.

Homebrew Meetup: Black November

Looking back at the blog posts we’ve done about our homebrew meetups, we realised that there was a gap in our coverage of the September event held at Vivon’s and Eric’s place. It wasn’t that we procrastinated and hence forgotten to write about it (that sadly, is sometimes the case), but how it all transpired turned out to be a largely unmemorable affair. Homebrew Meetup: Oktoberfest

The October (or in German, Oktober) homebrew meetup was a BBQ to celebrate the great German festival of Oktoberfest. The festival usually involves 20,000 sweaty people in a tent getting blind drunk on Maerzen beers, which is basically a more malty darker larger. So our theme this month was for everybody to try and recreate this style. To celebrate Oktoberfest we decided to have a BBQ.
